For the second consecutive year, The Valley Hospital has been recognized by Healthgrades as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals for Vascular Surgery. This designation places Valley among Healthgrades top 10 percent in the nation for vascular surgery. Valley has also received the Vascular Surgery Excellence Award for two years in a row, and is a Healthgrades Five-Star Recipient for Coronary Bypass Surgery and Pacemaker Procedures for 2017.

The Valley Hospital has achieved the Healthgrades 2017 Patient Safety Excellence Award™. This designation places Valley among Healthgrades top 5 percent of hospitals in the nation for excellent performance. Valley is the only hospital in Bergen County to receive this designation.
For the tenth time, The Valley Hospital has been honored with an “A” in the Spring 2017 Hospital Safety Score report, released by The Leapfrog Group, an independent, national not-for-profit organization of employer purchasers of health care. Valley was one of 823 hospitals to receive an A, ranking among the safest hospitals in the United States.
Number 1 The Valley Hospital has earned the 2017 Women’s Choice Award as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Heart Care for the fourth consecutive year. Valley qualified for this evidence-based designation by being ranked in the top 9 percent of nearly 4,800 U.S. hospitals.
Number 1 Valley has earned an impressive 14 Disease-Specific Certifications from The Joint Commission. Valley holds these distinctions, also known as Gold Seals of Approval, in the following clinical areas: perinatal care, acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, total hip replacement, total knee replacement, stroke, breast cancer, lung cancer, colorectal cancer, prostate cancer, pancreatic cancer, and uterine-ovarian cancer, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. No hospital in the nation has more Gold Seals of Approval in cancer care than Valley.
Number 1 The Valley Hospital has received the Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Gold-Plus Quality Achievement Award and Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus recognition from American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.
Number 1 The Valley Hospital has received the Get With The Guidelines®–Resuscitation Silver Quality Achievement Award for implementing specific quality improvement measures outlined by the American Heart Association for the treatment of patients who suffer in-hospital cardiac arrests.
Number 1 Valley is a three-time recipient of the prestigious Magnet Designation for Nursing Excellence from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
